Silkeborg Municipality is situated in the middle of Jutland, only one hour’s drive to three surrounding airports. It has a well-developed rail network and will soon be connected to the European motorway network. All in all, this means that the overall availability to and from the municipality is very high.
Furthermore, Silkeborg Municipality has always been known for its beautiful nature which is still the case today. It is situated in the heart of Denmark’s largest woodland and at the same time Silkeborg Municipality is where you will find the largest connected area of lakes in Denmark. But Silkeborg Municipality is more than that – it also offers a wide range of fascinating and unique cultural activities, a diverse business community and absolutely desirable places to live.
This last statement is supported by the fact that the population of the municipality has increased about three times as fast as in Denmark as a whole during the last ten years.
